Is it alright to humble in job interview?

I tried to be as humble as I can in job interview but they've been mistaken me not interested in the job or incompetent (I got a good reason for this). Geez, I'm a type of person who can do a lot of complex stuff especially in programming because I'm a very talented and skilled person but don't talk big (I guess that's one of the reason why I didn't get hired). And why some people who's incompent in the job but talk big were hired? Honestly, believe it or not, I'm not really showing all my talents and skills because I got a really bad experienced on that, when people knows about my talents they will always ask me to this and that...whatsoever...and sometimes they think I can do everything and that's one of the reason why they don't hire any other people rather than me, some other people I feel they are jealous of me (I really hate it). Sometimes, when I didn't do their favor they got mad at me (I don't have any obligation to them). I guess that's some of my reason why I stayed humble in job interview because I don't want to reveal all the things I can do, I don't want them to expect too much and I don't want other people jealous on me...I want a peaceful life!
