Are knitting,cross stitch,crochet and similar needlework forgotten?

I wonder too! Where I live it is very difficult to find other people (of my own age,36) who love to cross stitch too. While on the internet, there seems to be enough people who are doing it! I also have to say that here in Holland everything you need for cross stitching is very expensive! And a bit old-fashioned. But that is improving. I guess the interest for it is growing. I hope!
