i cant give you a straight answer on belts because it all depends on the school and what kind of kickboxing if its real kickboxing it should have no belts just like muay thai since its more of a modern style however if your school has belts its probably a karate or tkd school that just says k.b to bring ppl in. now to get better u want to cross train mybe do weights also practice your kicks whenever your home and blocks 2 also flexability is key make sure you practice doing splits so u can control the height of your knee with balance so you can fake and last but not least time youll eventually get good if you stick with it
